Do you think that your annual service charge is well spent, and that we get good value for money?
It is not clear how the service charges budget is prepared, so it is difficult to challenge the level of charges.
The Park Collection Residents' Association (PARKRA) believes that the way to answer these questions is to engage in a dialogue with Rendal & Rittner (R&R) and with Berkeley Homes (BH).
R&R work for BH. R&R prepare the service charge budget. BH are ultimately responsible for signing off on the budget.

Already in preliminary discussion some progress has been made. Errors in the allocation of costs have been picked up and guidance notes are being prepared.
But still many figures appear to be arbitrarily allocated between lines in the budget without adequate explanation.
Berkeley Homes have confirmed that although they sign off the budget, they are not familiar with the detail and are unable to answer our questions. Responsibility falls to Rendall & Rittner for this and, with Berkeley Homes' support, we expect the Residents' Association to make good progress in the New Year.
