Park Collection Discussions on Costs and Charges

Anthony Coates-Smith, MD of Insite, who meter our heating usage and bill us for it, on behalf of Berkeley Homes, who buy the gas in the wholesale market and use it to heat our flats and hot water. It is believed that Berkeley make no profit on this service.

The MD is on Money Box because Insite issued a letter demanding a price increase of 11 times to some of the beneficiaries of their service. It should only have been 4 times.

I have just received a letter from Insite informing me of a price reduction for the cost of my heating, from £0.2854 per kWh to £0.2230 per kWh. The standing charge is unchanged at £0.4082 per day. (attached)

The reduction arises from the government decision to postpone the reckoning for the current turbulence in the energy market. Rather than have us pay for it now, the cost has been added to the national debt.
