Demolishing sheltered housing is a big deal. The replacement buildings are large and will make a significant contribution to the estate and Its skyline. The application has many illustrations for you to pore through to get a better understanding. One of the most useful documents in the application is the Design and Access Statement which I have attached.4545450191648054108__-__DAS-Addendum-March-2022.pdf
This is also your opportunity to make comments on the application, in support, in opposition or just for the sake of commenting. Ideally your comments will be based in planning law to be taken seriously.
One of the main considerations for residents on the rest of the estate will be how the proposed, tall buildings will add to the density and verticality of our environment. In a recent presentation the applicants offered this image of the proposal in the context of the estate.
And the view approaching the estate will change dramatically. These two images show Seven Sisters Road at the point wher the A107 merges in just by the New River.
