Dear Adrian, A public meeting about Haringey’s Major Events in Finsbury Park THE Trustees of the Friends of Finsbury Park would like to invite you to a community meeting to discuss Haringey Council's Major Events Policy in Finsbury Park and it’s affect on our park, the area and residents. We will hold it on ~
Tuesday, 1st November at 7 pm Muslim Welfare House 233, Seven Sisters Road, N4 2DA (click for map)
In front of the venue: representatives of the Muslim Welfare House and the Finsbury Park & Stroud Green Neighbourhood Forum
We say that commercial events of up to 50,000 ticket-holders conflict with a fair and reasonable use of our public park; with protecting its ecology and our environment, and are inconsistent with our remit. The mission of our Trust, as recorded in our Constitution registered with the Charity Commission is ~ To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of Finsbury Park, London for the benefit of those persons living near to or using the park.
We have not supported and cannot support the council's policy. We would like to set out our reasons as to why to the community, but will also give space to all views on the subject with a question-and-answers session.

Q&A session ~We will have guest speakers and also Haringey councillors who will be invited to answer questions about the policy. We envisage the meeting will end at 8:30 PM.
